HKIN 151: Special TEACHING Resource

This web site was created to be used as a resource for students studying HKIN 151 or its equivalent at Colleges in B.C.

The web material focusses on one component, recording electrical signals from human muscles, called Electromyogrpahy. The textbook assumes a certain level of understanding and experience. The material on this site will provide a background for students who do not have this experience. There are other useful references to EMG including Basmajian's Muscle Alive and Kandal, Schwartz, and Jessell Principles of Neuroscience (4th Edition).

Click on the buttons to the left in any order although it may be useful to move from top to bottom.

NOTE: You will need Apple's Quicktime Player to play the movie clips on this page. Some of the movie clips are quite long - be patient while they load
